Kinderland Gives Back was the theme for the school year 2011-2012. Kinderland Bonavista decided to give back to the community by launching the Gerobak Pintar project. Gerobak pintar is a 'Smart Library & Puppet Theatre on Cart' program which we donate to the poor community. This program is created by Kinderland to allow the underprivileged children in the poor community to have access to story books. It's main objective is to increase these children's literacy level, thus they will be able to do better academically in their schools.

After surveying several locations and considering the community that are in need of this Mobile Library, we decided on a local preschool(Paud) in Lebak Bulus area. This preschool is small but it serves several communities around the area. It consists of 5 very hardworking and caring group of teachers who are inspired to teach all of the preschool-aged children around this area by charging very low affordable fees. What is lacking in their school are books. Therefore, parents of Kinderland Bonavista together PT Rain TBK as our main sponsor donates a Gerobak Pintar to Paud Kasih Ibu, located at Karang Tengah, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta on 12 September 2011.

Until today, the Gerobak Pintar program has been diligently conducted as part of Paud Kasih Ibu program as well as storytelling sessions conducted during the weekends for the rest of the underprivileged children in the community, from 3 to 8 year olds.

Pendongkelan in East Jakarta is strategically located in the borders of Central Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta. A number of houses and huts lay by Ria Rio reservoir. Citizen of Pendongkelan are mostly outsiders, who have been occupying the land for decades. As public residence area, the number of citizen of Pendongkelan fluctuates everyday.
