‘Coins for a Cause’
K2’s theme for this term is about “Connecting with the World”. In this theme, not only the topics about country and culture are being discussed but also the topic on reaching put to groups of people with special needs as well as elderly and the underprivileged.
The K2 children had an opportunity to take part in a very worthwhile activity or project and we called this project, “Coins for a Cause!” This project aims to help the underprivileged children by contributing to the school’s major project which is Gerobak Pintar.
In “Coins for a Cause”, the children got to participate by collecting coins in a coin bank and the collected coins were exchanged for paper bills in Bank of Central Asia in Bona Plaza Taman Bonah Indah. The amount that has been collected will then be used to buy books for our Gerobak Pintar.
This experience was truly meaningful and exciting for all the K2 children in Bonavista! The parents were also very supportive. This then made the project a success! Cheers both to the children and the parents!
